Learned about a really neat font that's designed for Dyslexic readers.
Unlike more traditional dyslexic fonts like OpenDyslexic or Comic Sans, this one was designed to be legible for dyslexics **and** compatible for professional design contexts.
It also has multiple character variants and 6(!!!) variable axes to enable people to fine tune the ways that letter forms can be distinguished from each other.

One thing that I find a lot when working with existing code is how many developers ignore warnings and don't use the equivalent of E_ALL (PHP) or -Wall -Wextra -Werror (C).
The first thing I do when taking on a new project is to enable all warnings and turn them into errors, and there's usually a huge number of bugs to fix as a result (e.g. invalid assumptions about what will happen if you use an undefined variable).

In fact, I intended this post as a more or less value-neutral description of how people in practice think about objects in their home that the likes of Marie Kondo or William Morris would insist they throw away. I hadn't really meant it to be pro _or_ anti; just NPOV, "these are some of the reasons people in fact keep things".
But if you say "bullshit" to me, I also think it's NPOV to say you were rude.
