Hey UK/EU based #fursuit builders/makers; are there any good places to get foam for fursuits? All the tutorials I have are pretty US centric and I'm having a hard time finding stuff to use!

have you considered that green floral foam stuff? It seems easy to carve up but I'm unsure about its suitability, might be worth a punt though.

@kevin it does carve but it doesn't have any flex to it, and it loses integrity with friction, so not usable at all.

@kevin upholstory foam is the usual stuff to go for because it's gotta be able to bend and iirc styrofoam is really dense/firm and is gonna retain heat a lot.

Managed to find a couple of UK places reccomended by some makers. :)

Been looking up tutorials and I think I can do this. Gonna look into getting some materials soon!

Already got an idea of what I want to make (head, paws, and tail) and how to do it. Also already got a Renamon head base!

Okay so all of the stuff that I've ordered has arrived! Need to clear up a space for this, and still need to get some elastic fabric for the head support and some lycra for the inside of the head, but AHHH WOW gonna be able to start working on the head soon!!

@LightTheUnicorn I'm gonna build the head before ordering any fabric (no idea how much I'm gonna need yet), so the completed head is gonna be a while. Also need to think about how I'm gonna do the eyes!

I really want to make my Renamon suit as close to the official suit as possible (with my hair, of course!). This suit is the reason why I am a Renamon! 💛​💜​

@Renamon 🏳️‍⚧️ @Autumnfox (aka Fopsywoo) 🔜 MFF While admittedly it's very unlikely, it's possible — I did know someone who did manage to end up with an actual official suit of a character he loved… kinda probably needs a friend "on the inside" to make something like that happen though. I guess it's unlikely you'll find an official one on ebay! 🤷‍♂️ I hope you can get as close as you can though!
