Looking into getting an e-ink e-reader. I was considering a Kobo Clara, which has several features I like (repairability, and not being an Amazon product) but having checked how big 6" is as a screen size (B7, i.e. smaller than A6) I'm not so sure. I'm mostly expecting to sideload PDFs, so no reflowing, so I'm now wondering how big a screen I'm likely to need for typical books. I'm sure I know people here who have experience of such devices β any ideas?
I often use the kindle app on my phone for reading. which is probably around the B6 size.
I'd probably look at getting an old gen 1 kindle if they are still around/cheap. the one with the keyboard. As they can be de-amazoned IIRC. Even if not. You can drag and drop files over and use non amazon services to move/convert things.
