The worst part about aging is that “a long time ago” gets more and more recent feeling. What do you mean 2010 was “a long time ago”???? It was 2010 like five minutes ago.
@Captain Packrat @Tilton Raccoon We're already a quarter of the way through the 21st century — that same 21st century that used to be cool and futuristic and a long way off and held the promise of flying cars and jetpacks.
I find I see only 2-3 years ago being quoted as "old" distressingly often these days. I've been running my current little business since 2006/7 and my eldest neice, who has recently started college(!) is actually younger than that, yikes.
