I just noticed @nano :neocat_floof:'s minecraft server was back after an extended outage, and immediately went to remind myself where I'd got to with the various projects I've sunk a lot of time into there. Turns out the underground excavation I was working on was intact, but when I went upstairs to the main part of my base, things were missing. Then I realised it was not just a few items that had been nicked, but much of the place was vandalised. Then I found a lot of other builds nearby were broken, exploded, and/or had lava poured all over them. And in the town square at spawn, was an obsidian swastika with transphobic slurs on signs all around it. (I haven't removed it, maybe I should have.)

Because it's been down for so long I'd been mostly resigned to maybe not seeing that server again, despite the amount of time I've spent on stuff there (and I kept meaning to take screenshots because I want to show people what I've done but I only seem to remember when it's not online), but maybe I'll learn from this that I should only spend time on worlds I have control of myself. I hope nano has a backup from before the damage. *sigh* 🙁
