I fell out of the bottom of my long-running minecraft world and lost all my stuff. Grrr. A full set of maxed-out netherite armour and tools aren't all that easy to come by in a skyblock world. At least my farms are all still in place. I'm "cheating" and turning on keepInventory now. πŸ˜›

The reason I fell was mainly because my laptop's keyboard is getting knackered. Quite a few keys don't work properly unless I press them really firmly and it's getting annoying. I must have released the pressure on my shift key enough that it stopped registering for a moment, and that was enough to kill me. Sigh. When I type, much more editing is required than it used to be. But to replace the keyboard on this laptop I think I have to basically disassemble the entire thing, even taking the heatsinks off the CPU and GPU and redoing the thermal interface when reassembling, which seems an idiotic way to design the thing.

this was totally the reason I bought a Framework laptop. The first, and only laptop I've ever bought brand new. Upgraded bits a few times and the ease of DIY assembly and repair/upgrades really swung it for me...

Am quite excited to see what they announce next week re specs + prices and possibility to preorder the Framework 12... A fairly small repairable/upgradable tablet/laptop is quite appealing. Especially as the price point is meant to be lower than the Framework 13. And they're packing it with 13th Gen Intel hardware... Although personally I'd prefer an AMD equivalent, I'd be surprised if they didn't end up offering it as an upgrade in future πŸ‘

@TheDragon πŸ”₯ It's a very nice idea, and maybe when I can't keep this laptop working maybe I'll be able to afford a Framework one. It would be good.
