Well, I guess we won't be using the A/V amp with the separate speakers for a while, not after it went "bang" a couple of times. At least I could just reroute the inputs directly to the TV and use its internal speakers so my dad can still watch the film he was about to watch. I'll have to take the lid off sometime and see how much magic smoke has been released!
