Well. I just saw a post about tickets for EMF going on sale in a couple of days. I took a look, read through the web site, and am still unsure if I'd be willing to endure camping in order to go to something like that.

Then I realised the post is 2 weeks old (because I'm 2 weeks behind on reading my feed) and they're sold out. But it does sound like a lot of stuff I might be interested in, *IF* I went with people I know.

But it does mean camping, in a tent, in a field, quite possibly in mud, quite possibly with lyme-disease-carrying ticks around, sourcing and transporting everything needed for camping, plus backup stuff so I'm not left without if something breaks, and also probably not feeling properly clean for the whole event. I'd be more interested if they had some actual indoor rooms available.

I sortakinda hate that I'm getting so unadventurous these days. I just have so little energy most of the time and so little tolerance for discomfort.

there is another opening tonight. Then another in April. They are warning there's not many left though o.<

There are a bunch of us furs going. The Furry High Council has a load of the regulars. Then theres a bunch of old CFz staffers trying to go this year too. So you wouldn't be on your own! ❀

@Jencen some might argue some of the folks who invaded the telegram chat have made it LESS friendly...
Regardless there are plenty of villages.
I've never had issues with ticks, about the worst are little spiders.
And there's showers on site. Bring a pair of flip-flops or crocs...

I just realised it's around the same time of year I'll be on holiday in the same general area of the country! If it overlapped, I might be able to commute from the holiday house my family's renting to the field for a few days. But no, when I check, EMF and the holiday are just one week away from overlapping. Darnit.
