As far as I know, it's always been normal to lose track of which day of the week it is over the winter holidays, but it really doesn't help that our bin collections, normally on Wednesdays, are on Saturday today, and Friday and Thursday over the next fortnight! (Not that weekends are really any different from weekdays for me or my dad.)
