This little eBay haul (in 3 deliveries) all arrived today. I'm already a dozen chapters into the first volume. But I think "North! Or be Eaten" may be my favourite book title ever.
Honestly, I got into it purely because of Tink's transformation and how it's handled. I know it's coming, and that probably colours my whole reading of it so far. I don't know how it ends, but I'm fairly sure about some aspects which I hope I'm right about, because they really press my "furry" buttons. Other than that, it's pretty good so far, though. I keep finding my eyes are getting blurry and I have to blink them clear again. (I'm not sure why so many stories can get me *so* tearful *so* quickly these days.)
Up to chapter 20 now. I keep forgetting how good it is to read books.
But it's also heart-aching, when it can never be real.
It's so good, but the gulf between me and the world I'm desperate to be in is so wide.
