Hmm, so when did the word "obliged" get maimed into the word "obligated", which I now seem to see used everywhere "obliged" should be used?

(On second thought… ah yes, Wiktionary says "obligated" is the Americanised bastardised version of the word, that makes sense!)

(Actually, as with most Americanisms, it seems "obligated" is an older word, which has been replaced in many places, but not in the good old United Shackled-to-the-pasts of America. 🤷‍♂️)
