I can see where the desire to use genAI comes from. There are so many things I want to make and do but I don't have the time or the energy or the skills. Or the time and energy to develop the skills. Or the spare money to have someone else apply their already-developed skills to these things for/with me.
It's also good for quickly prototyping a few different approaches to something. Or donkey work, the auto complete it can do for a whole chunk of code is interesting
