I caved and bought a premade Tali #cosplay mask. It's FANTASTIC but I prefer the visor to be one-way, so gonna have to work on doing that. There's a couple of options but I think I'm gonna try putting some tint film on the inside as that's a non-destructive method.
A fibreglass mask that is a replica of the mask worn by the character Tali from the Mass Effect series. It has a purple visor set in a metallic frame with a blue light at the front.

Just wearing a black balaclava under it will go a long way towards making it one-way! ;) (I also prefer to put black mesh across the balaclava's eyeholes...) (Of course other things are needed too but the main thing is to eliminate as much reflected light from inside as possible. Then there's preventing seeing through when someone looks *across* - in one side of the visor and out the other. For that I keep thinking thin black "fins" attached to the inside of the visor and aligned along the wearer's line of sight (so they don't block vision) might help - maybe I'll get to try that out someday.)

I really wanted the "faceless" look with this Tali mask, but as standard the tint is very light and it's easy to see inside. @Pipponprops suggested wearing a spandex hood on the inside and it works a treat! 💜​

@Pipponprops Almost need some reflective paint on the eyes, as I seem to remember you could see the eyes very faintly inside the helmet. Otherwise it looks really cool!
