I've been building away on @nano :nanoBlobOwO:'s Minecraft server, and wanted to share a few pictures. But then I found my "ace rotunda" is kinda difficult to get interesting pictures of because there aren't really any good angles, oh well!

The front entrance to my base, a pair of iron doors set into a hillside. There's a sheep/cow pen to one side and a 3 by 3 pillar made of wool blocks in the ace flag colours (from bottom to top: purple, white, grey, black) with a tall column of smoke rising from the top. There are some trees around the doorway, and behind you can just see the top of the "rotunda".

An aerial view of the ace rotunda. It's built a little way back from a river, with mountains in the background. A rail line next to a path runs very close to the back of it (I made sure I missed the path, but then someone built the rail line while I was excavating the foundations underground and it luckily *just* missed when I broke through ground level. By that time it was a bit late to move it!) The ace rotunda itself is a 32-block diameter circular wall in the ace flag colours (3-block-high stripes of, starting at ground level, purple, white, grey and black) with a deep excavation inside. There's a glass roof with, maybe just about visible, an "elytra window" to allow visitors to fly in easily (I hope - I don't have one myself so I can't test it).

There's only a small part at the back where the ground is low enough to see the colours all the way down to the purple stripe; the rest of the circumference is set quite a bit into the ground. But from the back the elevated rail line is in the way and doesn't allow for a good view! Oops. Oh well.

Viewed from the river, there's little to see as the entrance is mostly obscured by the sugar cane and bamboo plantation out the front. I might clear those away and make the front a bit more visible, especially now that I have a better (automated) bamboo farm indoors!

A possibly-better view of the back of the rotunda, from the elevated rail line. Still looks like a blank wall unfortunately. Maybe I should put another entrance here.

A view across the inside of the rotunda. At the top are the coloured stripes which are visible from outside, and the glass roof with blue sky above. On the far side is the entrance platform, which is just inside the main doors (not quite visible from here). A staircase winds its way down from there to the "ground" level inside (perhaps a dozen blocks below outside ground level. I might dig it deeper later!) Lots of stuff is built here, much of which I plan to move or at least neaten up later: a pointed dripstone farm on one wall, an automated wool farm in the middle, still generating wool in the ace colours even though I've finished the walls now, a couple of cow crushers (like Wattles builds - he's one of the Minecraft Youtubers I watch regularly) half way up the wall (where I built it originally before I finished excavating) with a short staircase leading to it, chests scattered around, a cooking setup with campfires and hoppers mostly off-frame to the left, my tiny "SecUnit cubicle" in white concrete set into one wall containing just a bed and a lamp, an infinite water source pool just below the entrance platform, also allowing for easy descent, and other odds and ends.

Another view, from just below the glass roof, the other way across the rotunda. We can see the entrance platform which houses a lectern with a visitors book on it and a fence around the edge, and there's a little smelting array in the distance on the far side of the floor.

Tucked away in a side-cave is a small enchanting setup, just beside the wheat farm (to feed the cows in the crusher) and a cactus farm (intended to give me something to smelt in the smelting array to get experience to get levels to be able to enchant, but it doesn't grow enough cactus to be worth it unfortunately.)

A view through a glass window into the automated bamboo farm from one end. It's dug into the ground so there's no easy way to see the whole thing. It's 64 blocks long and 2 wide, so there are 128 bamboo plants in there. 128 observers (one per pant) trigger pistons to break the bamboo when it grows 3 blocks tall, and hoppers underneath the mud blocks they are planted on transport the spoils to a double chest at the front for collection. A full roof of 128 jack-o-lanterns keeps it nice and bright. This thing is constantly overflowing with bamboo and I regularly carry some to spawn to fill a couple of double chests for anyone to make use of. I ought to build some kind of automated transport system for it really…
