Cause and effect.
A street at night, lined on both sides with parked cars. Walking (or even more so cycling) around residential areas near where I live makes me realise just (a) how many people there are - endless housing, every house being a home to someone, and (b) how may cars there are - every residential road is packed - lined on both sides with cars. So many cars, so much fosil fuel being used to power them all.
An alleyway between two rows of buildings, with ranks upon ranks of air conditioner outdoor units mounted on the walls on either side. As climate change continues to bite, I expect we'll be seeing more and more aircon getting installed here in the UK.
