I really feel this. I've got to the stage where if something seems anything less than easy for me to do I feel like a failure, and I rarely get anything useful done nowadays. I get by, just about, on absolute minimum effort, and feel I'm wasting my life.

there's no better way to screw up a child for life than telling them they're gifted (over and over and over again)

@krishean It's your life to waste though, by who's judgement do you make your life worthwhile?

@Matt Sqwrl @Krishean Draconis Me! There's lots more I want to do, and it feels like time is just slipping by while I'm frittering it away and not doing those things. I mean, yes, you're quite right, but I'm my own judge and jury here. Probably executioner too. 🀷

@krishean I find it's the stress of having so many things to do that means I do none. I'm slowly working my way along the Rhine for a long walk, it's good to have a goal like that where you can just go do the next bit when you have energy

@Matt Sqwrl @Krishean Draconis Yes, that is also a big factor, true. And that does sound like a good project to avoid it.
