Capitalism is *literally* this. "Capital" is money, money that someone has that they don't need to just… live. Spare money. If you have spare money you can "invest" it and get more money given to you (often there's a risk/reward tradeoff and you can lose some or all of your capital, but still). So capitalism is quite literally "if you have money to spare, you can get more money given to you for no work". And guess where that extra money comes from? You now own more value, and someone must have created that value by working, so that someone is where it came from. (Unless there's enough inflation to cover it, but that's gonna be rare.) 🤷♂️
